Dr. Keith Wilson has over twenty years of experience in the health care industry; sixteen of which have been with Talbert Medical Group. In 1999, Dr. Wilson engineered the acquisition of Talbert Medical Group from MedPartners as an independent entity, where he continues to serve as President and CEO.
Under Dr. Wilson's leadership, Talbert became one of the first medical groups to implement a fully integrated electronic medical records system in 2005. In early 2008, Talbert Medical Group, in partnership with Healthways SilverSneakersTM, opened its first Physical Therapy and Fitness Center developed especially for seniors. Today, Talbert Medical Group continues to offer progressive programs and services to its patients.
Dr. Wilson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California in 1977 with a degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He received his MD from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1981, where he also completed his internship. He concluded his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1985.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Keith has been an OB/GYN Surgeon since 1985. In 2001, Dr. Wilson was one of three individuals nationally honored with the Physician Executive Award of Excellence by the American College of Physician Executives and the Modern Physician magazine.
Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Medical Association, National Medical Association, Student National Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Wilson is dedicated to the communities he serve. Currently, he sits on the Spencer Hospice Foundation Board of Directors and recently he sat on the Financial Standards Solvency Board for the Department of Managed Health Care for the State of California. Dr. Wilson also sits on the Executive Committee of the California Association of Physician Groups and is currently chair-elect.
