The Spencer Hospice Foundation is a publicly supported, tax exempt nonprofit organization that works to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill patients and their families and provides education in end-of-life care. The foundation was formally established through a bequest given by a hospice patient, Marlyn Spencer, in 2003 and was granted nonprofit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code on 2005. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who plan fundraising activities, manage the foundation's financial resources, and allocates funds for various services we provide.
